Weerbericht van die dag: It has been a stormy day with snow showers on very strong South-East winds. Heavy drifting has led to deep accumulations of very weakly bonded snow building on West through North to North-East aspects above 550 metres. Shooting cracks and slumping was noted on a shallow angled Westerly aspect at 555 metres. The avalanche hazard is High (Category 4). COMMENT: Severe conditions in the hills today. Continue reading
